Support / The camera turns in its maker's app, but ViewTile shows no arrows
The pan-tilt-zoom controls are missing

How the controls appear
ViewTile does not guess what a camera can do. When it signs in, it asks the camera for the list of things it offers — movement, saved positions, focus, picture settings, a wiper, night mode — and shows controls only for those. Whatever the camera did not offer is listed on the camera’s page in a box headed Not offered by this camera. Look there first; the answer is usually in it.
The usual reasons
The camera moves, but not through the standard. Some makers let their own app move the camera over a private channel and leave movement out of the shared standard, or switch it off there by default. Look in the camera’s own settings page, in a browser, for an “ONVIF” or “integration” section with a movement or PTZ option, and turn it on. Some cameras need a restart afterwards; Restart camera on the camera’s page does that.
The user is not allowed to. Cameras have user levels. A user made for “viewing” can watch but not move; make a user with the operator or administrator level on the camera and sign ViewTile in with that.
It is a recorder channel. When a camera is reached through a recorder, movement has to be passed on by the recorder, and many do not. Add the camera to ViewTile directly, by its own address, and the controls appear.
It was added by stream address. A camera added only by its rtsp:// address is just a picture: there is no camera to send commands to. Delete it and let ViewTile find it, or add it by its IP address with the camera’s login, so the app can sign in properly.
Saved positions
Positions are the camera’s, not the app’s: ViewTile lists the ones stored on the camera and lets you add and remove them. A camera that offers movement but no positions shows the arrows without the chips.
